Constant Faith

Faith should be constant, even when the outcome is not as expected.

This phrase has been on my mind since I woke up this morning. It brings me to think that although the answer I was searching for did not turn out the way I was hoping, that I shall continue to have faith in the Almighty God. My faith is not dependent on the outcome I want from God. My faith is not dependent on whether I see God or not. My faith is entirely in God.

We struggle in our own lives to remain constant in our faith. We sometimes come to the conclusion that we are being picked on by a higher power. The reality of the faith that we have is that we do not fully understand the ways God does things. Faith is a mystery where we only get to understand fragments, and even then the big picture is out of our purview. We often look to God and cry out that we are so tired of being picked on or that we have too much to handle. We get tired of carrying our cross daily because we are not getting anything out of it. We forget that carrying that cross is nothing but sacrifice. We are not meant to receive anything out of serving God in our lives. Service is meant to glorify God the Almighty not Human the Lowly. Our faith is not a regular job. Our faith is not work 40 hours a week and expect a big check. Our faith is an offering to the one who sacrificed so much more than we ever will. Our faith should remain constant.

God blesses us for God loves us. God pours out all that God can for us to simply make us smile. God is an everlasting God that can see where we are going to wind up. God knows the end of the story, God sees the big picture. In the end, our wants may not add up to the place that God has for us. In the end, God might have something so much greater for us coming down the road.

God is Constant. Our Faith should be Constant.
